S. S. Mehta Arts and M. M. Patel Commerce College

Himatnagar Kelavani Mandal managed S. S. Mehta Arts and M. M. Patel Commerce College is a Grant-in-Aid institute in Sabarkantha district. The college was established in the year 1965. In Himatnagar, this college is known as ‘MOTI COLLEGE’ (Big College). It is affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan. At present, the college has seven departments with the well qualified staff. The college offers UG principle subjects like English, Gujarati, Economics, Sanskrit, Commerce/Accountancy, and Subsidiary subjects like Political Science, History, and Hindi. We offer PG Programs in English, Gujarati, Economics, Sanskrit and Commerce on Self-financed mode in the interest of our students.

The National Cadet Corps (NCC), the National Service Scheme (NSS), and Sports plays vital role and help students develop their personality, discipline and sense of civic responsibility. The college has huge play ground, faculty common room, seminar hall, a rich library, BAOU distance learning center, classrooms with projectors, and many more.

In the year 2024, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) initiated ‘WALL OF KINDNESS’ and we encourage our students as well as faculties to donate miscellaneous useful things for the needy students/people like clothes, shoes, notebook, pen, pencil, etc.

Shri S.S.Mehta Arts & Shri M.M.Patel Commerce College, Himatnagar was established in 1965. The Founder setup their in the Himat High School. The first of higher education came in the 1965 as S.S Mehta Arts & M.M. Patel Commerce College, which was shifted excellent, well occupied building in the year of 1972. The college, also has specious and well ventilated rooms, large playground and good library. It provides under-graduate and post-graduate courses. We cater to the needs of higher education for more than 1000 students. We always keep in mind the most important stake holder of the institutor i.e., most of our activities are based on students and the community.

We resolve problems in a democratic manner. The college is committed to excel in teaching training, entrepreneurship development, scholarship and public service. apart from classroom teaching we have facilities for seminars, workshop, career counseling and guidance extra curricular activities and NSS for your all round development.
